1. General Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings and services provided by A2Z Herts Cars Rickmansworth (“the Company”) to Clients, Passengers, and Bookers.
By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

A2Z Herts Cars Rickmansworth reserves the right to update or amend these terms without prior notice.
We aim to deliver a safe, reliable, and professional transport service at all times. While every effort is made to meet customer requirements, the Company cannot be held responsible for delays or losses caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control (e.g., traffic, weather, breakdowns, or unforeseen events).

2. Transport of Goods

All goods, parcels, or packages are carried at the customer’s own risk.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that adequate insurance covers goods in transit. The Company accepts no liability for damage or loss of such items.

3. Right to Refusal

A2Z Herts Cars Rickmansworth reserves the right to refuse carriage of any person or item that, in the driver’s judgment, may cause harm, damage, or inconvenience.
The driver’s decision is final, and the Company reserves the right to recover any associated costs.

4. Quotes

All quotes are provided as estimates based on distance, travel time, time of day, and vehicle type. Final fares may vary depending on route changes, additional waiting time, or unforeseen circumstances.

5. Charges

Fares are calculated based on mileage, time, and any additional costs incurred.
Fixed rates apply for journeys between local areas and major London airports. Most journeys are calculated using the shortest route; if a Passenger requests a different route or a driver must divert due to traffic or safety concerns, additional charges may apply.

6. Surcharges

A2Z Herts Cars Rickmansworth reserves the right to apply surcharges for:

  • Airport and station pickups

  • Out-of-area collections

  • Christmas, New Year, and Bank Holiday services

  • Additional stops or waiting time

  • Extreme weather or adverse road conditions

  • Journeys outside standard business hours or during peak traffic periods

Where possible, clients will be informed of any surcharge prior to confirming the booking.

7. Cancellations

A booking remains valid until:

  • The Passenger or Booker cancels directly with our office and receives confirmation, or

  • Our driver or operations team confirms the passenger cannot be located.

Cancellations made before dispatch are usually free of charge.
If the driver has already been dispatched, or incorrect details result in additional costs, a cancellation fee may apply.

If the driver is unable to locate the Passenger after all reasonable attempts, the Client may be charged the full fare.

8. Airport Pickups & Parking Charges

All airports now charge for drop-offs and parking. These fees are added to the journey total at the rates set by each airport.
We monitor flight arrivals to minimize waiting time, but parking charges may vary depending on delays.

9. Waiting Time

If a driver is required to wait beyond the scheduled pickup time — whether due to passenger delay or other factors — a waiting time fee will be applied.

10. Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges cover the time, distance, and expenses incurred by our drivers when they are unable to complete a journey due to client or passenger cancellations.

11. Congestion Charge

Journeys within the London Congestion Charge Zone will incur an additional fee, charged at the rate set by Transport for London (TfL).

12. Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) Charge

A2Z Herts Cars Rickmansworth ensures most vehicles in our fleet meet ULEZ standards.
However, where applicable, a ULEZ fee may be added to cover costs for self-employed drivers whose vehicles do not qualify for exemption.

13. Route Variations

Drivers will follow the most efficient route unless otherwise requested by the Passenger or restricted by the Client’s written instructions. Alternate routes are subject to additional time or mileage costs.

14. Security of Accounts

Account holders are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts and preventing unauthorized use.
Special security measures can be arranged upon written request. The Client remains liable for all bookings made under their account credentials.

15. Payment

Clients must settle all invoices within the payment terms specified on their account.
Late payments may incur interest at 2.5% above the Bank of England base rate.

16. Queries & Disputes

Any queries or billing disputes must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the invoice date.
After this period, charges will be considered accepted and final.

17. Liability

While every effort is made to ensure punctuality, A2Z Herts Cars Rickmansworth cannot accept responsibility for missed flights, appointments, or losses resulting from delays beyond our control.

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
